REFLASHING YOUR DEVICE FIRMWARE
These are versions 1.04 of pippyg.uf2 and pippyg_mic.uf2. The file pippyg.uf2 supports execution from a USB power bank as well as batteries. The file pippyg_mic.uf2 boots as a USB microphone when powered over USB, so you can use your pippyg as a Griff if necessary. First, turn off your pippyg and plug a USB to micro USB cable into your desktop computer. Next you need to short out the two metal pads labelled "Reflash" using some copper wire. I find it easiest to use multi-strand mains wire with the insulation trimmed back. Short the two pads, and keep them shorted as you plug the micro USB cable into your pippyg. If any LEDs flash when you plug in the cable you have not been successful, try again. On success the pippyg temporarily becomes a USB flash drive called RPI-RP2 - drag the .uf2 of your choice onto this flash drive, and the on-device firmware will be rewritten and the device will reboot. If you used pippyg_mic.uf2 the pippyg will reboot as a USB microphone since it is powered via USB, so unplug the USB cable then turn on your pippyg and it will boot as you expect and be running the new firmware. | ||||||||||||
